Objectives

- To encourage a spirit of European and Euro-Mediterranean citizenship by involving young people in community initiatives and raising their awareness of relevant issues.
- To promote an awareness of the environment among citizens of the Mediterranean region and Europe.
- To provide young people with training and experience that benefits the local development of host regions.
- To carry out voluntary projects requiring specific skills and international solidarity.

Strategy

- Encouraging field studies
- Coordinating a vast network of exchange, encounters and cooperation.
- Activities based on the involvement of local partners

Projects
These mainly concern the following areas:

- Euro-Mediterranean Campuses for the Environment and Heritage. These are real multi-disciplinary workshops with fields studies. Since their inception in 1990, these campuses have benefited from the support of the European Commission, particularly the General Directorate of Cultural and Environmental Affairs.
- The "Eco-Volunteering around the Mediterranean" programme, a European Voluntary Service programme, is carried out to promote exchanges between some southern European countries and some northern African countries, around projects related to the environment, heritage preservation and local development.
