Development of cultural tourism in the Medina of
Tunis |
| |
 |
|
The
Medina of Tunis is listed as a UNESCO world heritage
site and holds a vast architectural, cultural
and social heritage. Tourist visits however are
confined to just a few main commercial streets
with visits to the Medina being seen as just a
short stop on circuits proposed by tour operators.
In order to develop cultural tourism in the Medina,
you will work on the identification of discovery
routes in the Medina which highlight the way of
life of locals and the socio-economic activities
that go on there. You will propose supports such
as guides, signposting, and information panels.
This campus is supported
by the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte
d'Azur and the Departmental Council of Bouches-du-Rhône
in framework of the cooperation with the Tunis
gouvernorat.
