RIVE: the International Network of Volunteers for the Environment, Heritage and Sustainable Development

RIVE programmes (carried out in the context of the European Voluntary Service) allow participants to invest their skills in voluntary projects abroad, to the benefit of local communities. This programme is designed for young people from 18 to 25 years old, whatever their nationality or professional training, as long as they reside in a participating country of Europe, Eastern Europe or the Mediterranean. These programmes are limited to 6 or 12 months. They can be held in urban or rural settings. The teams are made up of 1 to 3 young volunteers, preferably from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds.
