With its
high plateaux planted with lavender and the Nesque river
gorges cutting into the countryside, the area around
Sault is typical of a certain Provençal way of life,
preserving an idyllic image of Provence. In 2008, in
order to develop the hamlet of St Jean, the local authorities
renovated the traditional “lavoir” washhouse. For this
second season, you will participate in the construction
of a stone paved street around the lavoir and in the
restoration of the fountain.
