Near the coast, the village of Le Beausset overlooks the landscape from the harbour of Toulon to the Sainte Baume mountain range. The local authorities have developed a fitness trail on the site of some ancient cultivated terraces, a number of which were adapted to hold beehives. In order to develop these constructions from the region’s farming past, you will help to renovate the terraces and their traditional hives known as ‘apies’.
