The village
of Lumio, in the heart of the costal region of La Balagne,
overlooks the bay of Calvi. On a plateau, at 400 metres
above Lumio, is the abandoned village of Occi. Built
in the 12th century and attached to Lumio in 1852, the
remains of buildings made of dry-stone are still visible,
along with a restored church that is still in use. The
numerous access paths to the site are the subject of
a development programme led by the town of Lumio and
the Corsican environmental office. You will
work on the renovation of these “heritage trails” by
repairing both the paths and dry-stone walls.
