The village
of Visan is famous for it’s vines. It is situated in
the “Popes’ enclave”, a unique geographic territory
in France, given that history made this area a little
piece of the département of Vaucluse in the heart of
the neighbouring region of « la Drôme Provençale ».
Dating from the period of Papal occupation, the second
outer wall of the castle built in the 15th century is
pierced in places by the entry gates to the village.
On one of these gateways, the lateral ramparts are in
need of careful restoration with pebbles. You
will repair this damage to the wall and work on the
lower parts of the outside wall of these fortifications.
Accomodation: Meeting Hall
