Near the
Sainte-Baume massif, the castle of Pontevès in the old
village of Flassans-sur-Issole dominates the surrounding
countryside and the Issole river. The local council
wants to preserve and develop this site, being a major
feature of village history, and it has decided to clear
the undergrowth and make the area secure. This year,
you will continue the consolidation of the castle’s
existing medieval stonework.
