A departure
point for discovering the Nesque gorges and the Mont
Ventoux, the village of Villes-sur-Auzon opens on to
numerous pathways and roads into the surrounding wooded
mountains. Whilst walking these paths, it is still possible
to see the areas where charcoal was produced, a witness
to traditional local occupations of the past. Shelters
used by charcoal workers as well as shepherds and their
flocks can also be seen. You will participate
in the conservation of these buildings by repairing
the dry stone walls of the shelters and their surrounding
enclosure walls.
