The APARE proposes international volunteer missions focussing on activities of public interest aimed at enhancing and developing features of natural and cultural heritage. Its main activity is organising and running international volunteer work-camps, field study campuses, short courses on heritage discovery (particularly dry-stone architecture), and international cooperation activities.

The APARE is fully certified by the French State and recognised by the European Commission as a European youth organization. It is also a partner association of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
