F. Dominique, contributions from D. Larcena and D. Lacaille, (2009). 25 balades sur les chemins de la pierre sèche, [25 walks on dry stone paths], Manosque, Le Bec en l’Air.

From the Luberon, to the ‘monts de Vaucluse’ and the Lure mountain, Florence Dominique, project leader with the APARE, has chosen 25 routes for discovering the rich heritage of dry stone artistry. The walks described are off the beaten track, and uncover, step by step, this territory shaped by humankind. Detailed IGN maps, explanatory notes and previously unpublished photos reveal the beauty of these natural landscapes and the precision of this timelesss building technique.

F. Dominique, (1999). Le guide des Aiguiers du Pays de Sault et des Monts de Vaucluse, [Guide toPublications/Le guide des Aiguiers du Pays de Sault et des Monts de Vaucluse [MIN] ancient covered water tanks in the ‘Pays de Sault’ and the ‘Monts de Vaucluse’]  Apt, APARE.

‘Le guide des Aiguiers’ tells the tale of a passionate encounter in the heart of one of the most mysterious corners of the ‘Monts de Vaucluse’, a little known and often-misunderstood region. The discovery of the ‘aiguiers’ (ancient covered water tanks), this ‘original peasant artform’ to quote Pierre Martel, will take you along the paths of the lost civilisation of dry stone. It will encourage a geographical, geological, ethnological and historical discovery of this real sanctuary. This booklet provides information to anyone who accepts to be guided along the proposed pathways. You will be unable to remain indifferent to these discoveries. The genius of the place will have a profound impact. You will be caught up in wonderment with the sensation of being the very last witness to a byegone age when the slightest trickle of water caught the attention of local people.
